I was asked to be lead developer on Imagination’s interactives for the Ford Auto Shows. It was a large udertaking and we put together a team of 7 developers to work on 9 interactives over 3 months. The work was fairly intense with the ideas behind most of the interactives constantly changing. However the team was really good and after some long hours we managed to pull it off.
Lots of interactives, not much time…jobs a good’un.

Hamyard
Hamyard are a talented motion graphics and design company. I developed their website with them. It only took us two weeks, so it was a quick turn around. The content is entirely up datable through xml and external assets. Hamyard have put some great videos up there and you have to love the fantastic background. There are a few things I would like to improve, especially the loading time, maybe we’ll get a chance to do it sometime soon.

- Cocoon End
I’ve finally finished work on the interactives for the new wing of the Natural History Museum – the Darwin Centre. It was a massive project and is biggest set of interactives in a museum in Britain. Initially I was invited in to help out on some parts of the projects that had gone off track. This went well and I was put in charge, as Technical Director, of the Cocoon End. The whole project has been incredibly successful and the museum visitors love it!

Sony
Sony wanted an installation that showed off all aspects of the corporation. Using Gesturetek technology we created a version of the Sony Xross Media Player in Flash. It is great fun to use and is now in Sony HQ reception so visitors can see everything Sony has to offer.
I have put a part of the installation up here but it was far to big to put up the videos too, i only the MGMT one is up there. It’ll give you can idea of how the Gesturetek (no mouse clicks here) and the Xcross Media Bar work together. Give it some time to load as it’s not made for the web.
Xcross Media Bar
Due to requests i’ve put up a version of the Xcross Media Bar with the source code for those who want to use it. I’ve simplified it as much as I can, without rewriting what i’ve done before. However it’s still a little messy so you’ll have to explore it a little to understand whats going on.
Foward
There is a great team at Forward and I was delighted when they asked me to lead work on the technical side of there website. As you can see we have some really cool character animations in there and some excellent streaming video content. We were trying to get the right balance between getting a site that looks great but still works in there corporate model. Check out the preloader!
